Tomorrowland 2017: a surprising lineup

The MainStage lineup of the most famous festival in the world is out, and the controversy has already begun.

The event will take place over two weekends (from 21st – 23rd and 28th – 30th of July) but people seem to be perplexed after reading the names of the artists who will be up on the stage.

On the first day of the festival, Eric Prydz, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Carl Cox, Steve Aoki and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano will perform on the main stage.

Is it a risky move to place Eric Prydz and Carl Cox on Tommorowland’s main stage? Possibly. It’s huge news at any rate, because it means we can expect a different kind of event to the usual one.  Let’s go on.

Same weekend, different day: as usual, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike will perform. They will be followed by Alesso, Armin  Van Buuren, Jauz, Nervo, Netsky and Solomun.

On the last day of the first weekend, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Lost Frequencies, Oliver Helens and Yellow Claw will perform.

Let’s take a look at the second half of the event.

On Friday the 28th July,  Afrojack, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, Martin Solveig, Kaskade, Nicky Romero, Tchami and DJ Snake will perform.

The stage will feature Alesso, Alok, Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Joris Voorn, Kungs, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, W&W and Yves V on the following day.

On Sunday 30th, July Alan Walker, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Paul Kalkbrenner and Robin Schulz will end the event.

As you can see, 2017’s Tomorrowland will be unique: it’s rather unusual to see artists like Kungs, Solomun or Eric Prydz on the MainStage of the most mainstream and popular festival in the world.
