Delivering a stellar lineup reveal for this year’s forthcoming LA edition, The Groove Cruise has consistently proven to set itself apart from all other events by delivering a distinguished caliber of artists to curate its 120 + hours of unforgettable dance music and entertainment.

In an industry where the lines become blurred deciphering one music festival’s lineup from the next, The Groove Cruise has managed to host an eclectic array of talent at each of its editions while further providing a platform for a number of new and aspiring producers at its east coast and west coast editions.

Among these artists, have emerged some of dance music’s most distinguished emerging acts. The following are a list of the top five who have risen the ranks and set themselves apart by showcasing promising skills on board as well outside in the sphere of the dance music industry.

Genre: House / Open Format
Kalendr has become most recognized as being one of the Groove Cruise’s initial resident DJs for nearly seven consecutive editions while producing the Groove Cruise Miami’s official mixes in 2013 and 2014.  His voice has become synonymous with Groove Cruise Radio; however, the artist’s influences extend far beyond the realms of dance music and cross over into a myriad of other genres which is apparent in his live performances and residencies which he has acquired at Create in Los Angeles, Studio Paris, Spy Bar, and The MID in Chicago.   With a catalogue of productions that include his most recent remixes for Rhianna and Dirty South, Kalendr’s distinguished abilities as a DJ and producer set the bar high for all other emerging acts attempting to break through in the music industry.

Drums of the Sun

Genre:  Live  / Acoustic
Creating a live music experience unlike anything that has been done before in the state of dance,  Drums of the Sun creates a live music experience that combines DJing with a live percussionist on drums. The result, which will have you ordering another round of pina coladas, sets the perfect ambience for those on board as the Groove Cruise sets sail across the high-seas where paradise awaits.

Damiano C

Genre:  Deep-House
Despite being one of the more relatively newer artists to appear on the festival bill for Miami’s 2016 edition, this did not stop Damiano from grasping the attention of dozens of fans on board. Having closed out the weekend with a range of performances with his final set being one that was widely well received, the artist has since showed his prowess and production ability by releasing one of the most endearing vocals of the summer titled, “High and Low” off of Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Records.

Speaker of the House

Genre:  Deep-House
With a mature, deep-house sound that has been showcased in a vast array of remixes and productions for some of the most established artists in the music industry including: The Chainsmokers, Dada Life, Marshmello, Rebecca and Fiona, and even Jason Derullo, Speaker of the House continues to set himself apart from all other acts   as the young artist delivers his own distinguished sound both live on stage and in the studio.

Genre: Techno / Tech-House
ALX, who proved his skills next to some of the most revered talent at this year’s 2016 edition in Miami, where he went back-to-back in a set next to Roger Sanchez, Boris, and Cocodrills, has been heating up the dance floors ever since including some of the most hottest venues in Miami including his residency at Club Space where his techno sets are known, “to keep Miami dancing until the sunrise” (Anderson, Miami New Times).
